Welcome to Emmanuel Prayer Mountain
Prayer Mountain

2 Cor 5:17 - Therefore, if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature: old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.  :18   And all things are from God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;

Ferdi LabuschagneFerdie Labuschagne was born again in July 1983 during one of Pastor Nevil Norden’s services.  Since then the message of reconciliation was an integral part of his Christian walk.   In 1995 he met his wife, Sonnet, and from there on they worked together as a team ministering reconciliation to other people.

In May 2001 Ferdie completed his Pastoral studies at the Irene Theological College and after completion started a ministry in George, South Africa, called the ‘Joshua Generation’.  The aim of this ministry was to equip people to make a difference in the marketplace through their Christian walk and to expose the indwelling of the living Christ through their behaviour.  A ministry for the deaf was also pioneered and established by Ferdie and Sonnet.

They also supported and accommodated the prayer ministry City House of Prayer’ in George founded by Pastor Jaco Fourie.

In 2008, after a time of waiting on the Lord for purpose and direction the Lord gave Ferdie the vision to establish a Prayer Mountain.

In October 2008 we received an assignment from God to establish a ‘Prayer Mountain’ in the countryside where the people of God can separate themselves unto Him, seeking His face in prayer and fasting, away from the noise and activity of daily life.   Surrounded by the quietness, tranquillity and beauty of nature, it will be a place where they can soak boundlessly in the presence of the Holy Spirit.  It will also accommodate the children of God who needs to rest as well as for spiritual and emotional restoration. [Mark 6:31].

The ‘Prayer Mountain’ is called to serve the Body of Christ and will, therefore be an inter-church, interdenominational ministry.

We will focus on three different levels of prayer.

  1. Individual prayer - where an individual seeks God’s face in prayer concerning his own personal needs;
  2. Governmental Intercession – intercession for our government, the nation and various strategic issues concerning the nation;
  3. Prophetic Intercession - proclaiming the manifold wisdom, glory and power of God to the principalities and powers according to Ephesians 3:10.

  • For training on strategic prayer and intercession
  • Gathering intercessors to intercede for strategic issues
  • Prophetic conferences
  • For ministers and their leaders
